Internaional Conflict !!

International conflict is the conflict that is between different nation state and conflict between people, or organization in different nation state. The theme of these conflicts hasn't passed the dependence, economic power, increase social and political. And there were a lot of conflict that had resolved by international court and U.N, and the function of these organizations to keep the peaceful and resolution between the countries and organizations in the world. There are a lot of problems that have resolved, for example the conflict between Qatar and Bahrain about the Island called hour and some area in Qatar, and this conflict had resolved by international court in Lahai, and the solution had accepted from Qatar and Bahrain. And there was a lot of example that had been resolved between Iran and UAE.

So finally hope you like my post.

“What kind of victory is it when someone is left defeated “Mahatma Gandhi (1869-1948). That was on the first of our chapter for this week. Although I didn’t have the opportunity to study the all chapter with my friend, I enjoyed the last part of it. The chapter was a really interesting and great at the same time. I have learned lots of thing through my study at conflict and reconciliation. It opens with several instances of the surprising power of the apology and what it can a chive in terms of reconciliation. The second was about has some poem, so I really enjoyed my first with poetry of another language than main. We have read great poem by one of the world s‘ great poets who reveals the human face of hatred, war, and compassion. We also read about great article “when one person reaches out with love” which showed the power of the apology and who Russian women forgive German soldiers’. Our writing book was enjoyable on this week; we read some of Gary Snyder thoughts, ideas, and some of his poet which really changed us and made us think differently. As a last chapter, I think it was enjoyable and great chapter. It gave us the opportunity to learn more and more vocabulary.

Conflict and Reconciliation

Hello every body,

This is the end of book we are in chapter 10; we were studying from the book. We already finish the books this morning. In the last chapter, we read about Conflict and Reconciliation. At the beginning of this chapter, we talk about one of the famous person who is Mahatma Gandhi; he is Indian religion leader who championed the concept of nonviolence. Also, he is a politician. I know a lot about him because I wrote an assignment about him. I searched about him and I learn a lot of his heroism. In the second part of this chapter, it’s about the poem by one of the great poets in the world. In group with my classmate, we heard a lot about conflict and how can we apologies for someone. In addition, we searched about what are the best strategies for resolving personal conflict? When I searched I found the topic which talk about interpersonal conflict. Also, in the listening and speaking class, we talked about the same topic, I talked with my partner who is Loureat and we talk about the conflict about our country with another country, or the conflict in side the country. Also, Amy give as another excited topic to discuss which it was about problem in the marriage life. Loureat has a lot of experiences in this topic because he is married.

Personal and international conflicts

I want to say first that all of your comments in this topic have caught my eye. After I read all of them I want to share with you my personal opinion about this interesting topic. It is really true that all the people have experienced many conflicts in their lives: with their parents or friends, at home or work, with his/her girlfriend or boyfriend, etc. At this point, do you think that is the same a personal conflict than an international conflict?

I agree with Laureat and Omar when they say that a conflict between two friends makes the relationship stronger after the resolution. I’ve experienced that before too, but my question is: do you think that a war between two countries makes the relation between those countries after they find an agreement stronger? Maybe it’s possible, but if you look some examples in the past, you will find that this is not necessary true. And if it’s true I have another question: It is necessary the death of many innocence people to start a good relation between two countries? Definitely no, right?

It’s time to get conscience about this problem and its better if we start to do it right now when most of the governments are more interested in getting more weapons and improving their armies than in educating their people in virtues like justice and honesty, and values like peace.

If we are trying to reach that we called “civilized society” we must start refusing any kind of war.

Conflict and Reconciliation

In our life, the conflict has happened every day, no matter between two countries, parents and children and so on. In my country, there have many conflicts happened every day especially politics. We have two big political parties. One is native Taiwanese and another is people who moved from China log time ago. These two groups have very different political concept; therefore, they have a lot of conflicts everyday. The biggest problem is INDEPENDENT. I have no idea when we will resolve our problem. I think endless. haha

In my experience, I have ever had conflict with my mother when I was studied in the University. In my country, almost people have motorbike because it is very convenient to go anywhere. I really want motorbike because from my house to school is very far. If I take metro and bus I have to spend two hours to go to school. However, we have conflict about for long time. Yet, my mother thinks it is very dangerous to ride motorbike to school. I discuss a lot of things with her and I said I would very take care about myself but she didn’t agree with me. So, finally I gave up.

So, conflict always happen around our life so we should learn how to resolve our problem. We also should know or learn which resolution is better way. However, our life or society or world and so on will become more peaceful

It is such an interesting topic. Due to the fact that everyone either has or had conflicts in his/her life, it’s important for everyone to know how to find resolutions for, at least, his/her own conflicts. In my case, I had many conflicts with different people in different situations. Sometimes, I had conflicts with my friends and sometimes with my brothers and sometimes with my teachers. It a nature of human beings that they have conflicts through their life. The way you solve a conflict depends on the person. For instance, if I had a conflict with my friend, I would let him cool off. Then, I’ll discuss the reasons of that conflict with him. But when I have a conflict with my parents, I would keep silent and apology, then, I’ll come back and apology for them again. In short, the person whom you have a conflict with is the key of the resolution. Also, I want to write a comment about something was mentioned by my friend Laureat. He said that the relationship between people becomes better after they have a conflict. In fact, I agree with him completely in this point because I experienced that myself. In my first year in high school, I hated one of my classmates so much, and we had many conflicts. After that, in the last year of high school, we became the closest friends to each other.

So, if you want to be my best friend, I suggest having a conflict with me…..!!!!

Oh hello, everybody, Oh Lauret I can tell how wise you are really it's a impressive proverb " If you want peace, prepare for war" really beautiful words, Peace Peace Peace everybody likes to live in peace where s/he can enjoy his/her life. a question that comes to my mind each time I watch the news about Palestine and Israel , Darfur, Iraq, and Afghanistan, or any place in the world where there is a state of instability and war: why do people fight each other ? what is the benefit they might get from this war? and when I find an answer I think what about the other people around the world me and you ? can not we stop them from fighting!!! nobody can help !!! we need more consciences more knowledge about the implications of our deeds!!!

we have to find a solution for all these conflicts, we need to start with ourselves how are relationships with other people ??? are we form the people who like fighting and making problems or we are from da people who forgive ??

Just this sentence explain our topic this week about conflict and resolution. Conflict, either personal or international, is common. Whatever, whenever, wherever you are, it still perists. One thing is certain that everyone shows his anger when he has an argument. Don't tell me that NO ONE had an argument during his life and also don't tell me that NO ONE can control his conflict by peace. As a result, everyone resolves his own personal conflict by insulting, complaining, gossiping, screaming, crying, pushing, taking an attorney, engaging in road rage, slapping,cutting the line, taking revenge.
If you have a friend, husband, wife, roommates, classmates or collegue, my advice to you is to prepare yourself for an argument. As I mentionned above, IF YOU WANT PEACE with your friend, husband, wife, roommates, classmates or collegue, PREPARE FOR WAR (ARGUMENT, CONFLICT). After the resolution, believe me that you'll become better friends.

Hi everyone,
The topic of this week which is art and entertainment does not really grab my attention because I’m not interested in this field. Actually, the best thing I like among different categories of art is music. I listen to music for fun, and sometimes music shows me great meanings in my life. When I’m angry, I listen to music. When I’m sad, I listen to music. It became an important part of my life because it, sometimes, remind me of the past. In few cases, something happens to you, good or bad thing, and in the same time you connect this thing in your mind with a song. Then, whenever you listen to that song, you remember that moment when a specific thing happened to you. Also, sometimes, music reminds me about people whom I love, and this is a reason why I love music.
Entertainment
About entertainment, I’m not interested in electronic games. Instead, I like to enjoy my time hanging out with my friends. In fact, I used to spend most of my time in middle school entertaining by playing electronic games such as play station. This is all what I have in my mind about this topic: Art and Entertainment.

Let It Be

This week's topic is art and entertainment in class. As I studied this chapter, the Beatles was a touching musician among many artists and musicians. Several years ago, I gave a lecture about the Chinese philosophy by an outstanding professor, Youngok, Kim, in Korea via Education Broadcasting system. I was impressed by his lecture and first of all, at the end of the lecture, his mother was attended the lecture. She was over 80's and seemed to be weak and mild. During the lecture, professor Kim delivered main points about our lives and what the importance it was in our life to us. In front of his mother, he sang a song 'Let it be' sung by Beatles. While he was explaining line by line, I also followed the deep and supplicated meaning of the song, 'Let it be'. After than my favorite song became " Let it be". As I listened to the song, I was deeply thinking about my life and try to follow my life like flowing water. Also I will keep in mind the word " Seize the day"

Break Though

In this week we took about the “Break Though.” It’s really good topic. We learned a lot of sciences and arts things. We know more about different parts like wise there are some students study business and they know about that’s section and some of the know about fashion and they were told us more about that also there are a lot of student took about the engineering and took about a lot of them. Today in Amy’s class we did a lot of exciting presentation. Also, in Brandi’s class we did in class writing essay about source energy. This week we got so lots of knowledge that about the life and we know a lot of all part of the studies. Now, we are almost done and finish the book, and the book become more exciting to get more knowledge. I am enthusiastic to finish this book and I hope we do well in this semester. Also, the most interesting things the book of reading and writing has same chapters as in the listening and speaking book. Finally, we had fun in this week and I hope we get a do well tomorrow in the quiz of the giver.

Breakthroughs

During this week, we have been learning about the breakthroughs. There are many breakthroughs in the world especially in science. We have been talk about the technology of breakthroughs like internet, electric, telephone, solar energy and so on. Because of those were developed, our life become very convenient. For example, due to the fact that telephone and internet were invented, we are easier to communicate with other people. Even we travel the world, we still can contact with family or friends. Another example, after the electric invented, we have many entertainments like watch television or listen to the music and it makes our life more fun. The breakthrough can not only for science but also can be in our life. For example, when I was ten years old, my father was pass away; therefore, at that time, it was a breakthrough in my life. I had to learn many thing at like learned how to walk to school alone, how to make breakfast by myself, how to choose good books or television program. Those things used to my father did for me; therefore, sometimes breakthrough is a not bad thing and it can let us learn more things that we may not know before.

I’m so enthusiastic about the topic of this week which is breakthrough because it’s talking about things that we use in our daily life, but we don’t think how the life was before those things were created. As Juan talked about the internet, I thought about it, and I found that I really can’t live without the internet even for a short time.
My friend Laureat talked and imagined strange things about the television, but I think it might really happen one day. I said this because of something I saw before few months. In the news, they showed a product that was made in Japan. This product is a television, but it’s not a regular television. This television is the strangest thing I have ever seen in my life. In this television, two people can watch different channels in the same time. I was shocked when I saw that television. Two people were sitting in different corners of one room, and they were watching different channels. The cameraman was moving from corner to another corner, and I saw the screen while it was changing step by step. When you stop in the front of the television, you will see two channels in the same time. The right side shows a channel, half of it only, and the left side shows the other channel, also half of it only. Why you will see only have a channel?? That is because you have to stand from specific angle to see the channel in the whole screen.

In conclusion, this is a great thing I have seen, and a like to share it with all of you.

Internet: a breakthrough of this era.

Have you asked how would be our world without Internet? Maybe if you talk with an old person he/she would probably say you that 40 years ago nobody needed Internet to develop their lives, and they probably don’t understand why people say now “I can’t live without internet”.

In my opinion, I understand the thoughts of the last generation when they say that, and there is only one reason: they didn’t grow up with the computers and the internet like we did. Definitely, I’m a person who can’t live without Internet, that’s why I consider this tool the most important breakthrough in this era. My family is so far away right now, that I would not know of them like I do without Internet. I’m studying here and all of them are in Peru, 10 miles far away, but the internet makes me feel like they are close to me. It’s amazing how I can read about what is happening in my country while I’m living here without the need of a newspaper, magazine or a TV channel from Peru. I only need a computer and Internet, that’s it.

On the other hand, it’s also incredible, how internet makes our lives much easier. You can buy or sell whatever you want from internet. If you want to know how to get some place in a particular city, in the internet you can find the maps and the shortest way to get it. If you want to talk with your friends from other countries you can chat with them without spending a lot of money calling them by phone. Even in business, internet allows the companies to be in constant contact with their costumers and suppliers by email or trough a web page. Really, it is incredible how the internet have change our type of life.

The theme of this week is very outstanding.. I felt like studying something at least has a relationship with my major. I have been motivated to finish studying English, and start university life. ''Breakthrough'' it a little word to describe the huge development the world is living from cooking to sciences. Wherever you look, you find breakthrough. I liked what my friend Lauret talked about. He imagined new TV through which we cam smell or in general we can feel.. it's interesting idea for me. Since my major is Electrical Engineering; in addition, I'm specializing in Electronic, I would like to be the one who invent this TV. If that happened, Laruet, I will give you that TV as a gift because you are the one who gave me the idea :-)

When I read about famous people who invented many stuff people use around the world, I feel jealous and enthusiastic. Jealous because I want to be like one of them; one the other hand, I feel enthusiast due to the fact that I'm looking forward to starting my major and being totally immersion in the field at which they worked.

Scientists have developped a lot of new technology such as cell phone, camera, Tv. I am wondering if they will make something up more interesting than tv that we have already seen right now. I am eager to see if the scientists could make a new TV and people can smell something from Tv. For instance, By watching TV people can smell the food or perfum. Is it possible or not in future.?

In conlusion, this topic "Breakthrough" allows me to think about the choice, motivation and decision to push the consumers to buy the new item on the market. Some consumers buy the product because it’s easy to understand how much their life might be better if they use it (especially if someone else has told them about his life-altering experience with the item). Others buy the product because it is new, they don't care the price. For these conceptions of buyers, scientists don't give up to improve their skills in order to make something up on the market place.

As i study this chapter, i think about the my country's management system. i think that korea's company is a more similar to japan than to america. Although many companies followed japanies company, now some korean companies teach to japanies companies how to lead the company. for example, samsung is a best company in korea. samsung have overcame sony. In part of semiconductor, samsung is the one of the most profitable companies. As a result, the owner of sony company said, " we should learn samsung." likewaise samsung, many good companies atrract our.
The first reason of the studying in maryland is a working a good company. when we choose a company, Making a profit is a important factor. But most important thing is how the company provide good working environment. Good working enviornment help you to improve your ablilty.

WHICH ONE IS THE BEST WAY TO MANAGE - LEADERSHIP.

This week, I am excited to hear this topic which is my field in interest. A lot of researchers have tried to describe, explain this question " WHICH ONE IS THE BEST WAY TO MANAGE - LEADERSHIP." Some says that leader must follow the Douglas Mc Gregor's theorie which is "X", others have suggested following the theorie "Y" of Douglas Mc Gregor. Another method of management, leader should be flexible and also strong implementing a decision. Another method of management, leader must follow the system M.P.Entrepreneur, Integrity, and we learned another method " Ringi", other one is a top down for major decision. So, everyone has a definition of management but applying your definition is a big deal.
In conclusion, the best way to manage is very difficult to explain, it depends on someone which one is the best for him because when you are leader, you find out a million of problems that you have never resolve, known before. After that, you learn, analyse, make a right decision.
There is proverb from my country" it's better to manage 1000 cows than manage 10 people.
I was a manager for tree different projects. I had hard times managing my human ressorces.
That's way I am eager to study at the university of Maryland in order to enhance my management skills.

This week is really good but I think its heavy week maybe because we have spring break next week. We are in the middle of the book in chapter 7. The title of this chapter is WORKING. We read a story about how can you manage effectively, what is the different between Japanese business management and American business management. Also, we discuss on group and we know more about other culture and how the manage the business and how they manage like Japanese and American. Also, in Amy’s class we talk about same topic. Everyday we have a group discussion and listening about WORKING. In addition, we took really new academic words and they are so difficult. Also, Kim give us exercise in the internet and there are a lot of question we did it and we will discuses about it tomorrow in the class on group. We did a class discussion with Kim and we summary the story we read it in the book. On Tuesday, we write what we concluded about the story. And on Wednesday, we do in class writing about the different between Japanese and American system on manage business. That is what we have been doing in this week and tomorrow we have quiz in the Amy’s class also about WORKING.

This week was a really interesting week for me and for my friend. For me it was the vision to my future because we were talking about working and what is the best job?. Also I had the opportunity to share the experience with my friends who had worked or who are working know. for example I had a really great dissection with jenfer and luriat.it was fun to know haw those people first felt when they work and how the get thorough the working experience, but what really surprised me is the test that we did two days ago which allowed us to know what is the best position or job for us. Although we really missed or teacher Brandi this week, we enjoyed our grammar lesson, which was about geraned and infinitive. Our reading this week was different than every week because it was actually about working. We also learn a lot about management styles from our writing book which was bout the different between US and japans style of management. In addition we read about how us manger take decision different than Japanese mangers. While US mangers like to work individually and take their decisions to fast, japans like to work as group on taking decision and like to do it with patient. In the end I would like to say that this week the subject was really exciting.

dream

I like to dream unfortunately I don’t have dream a lot when I sleep. In here, I would like to share my culture, Taiwan, about dream. Old people believe the meaning of the dream. For example, when we dream that our teeth are falling down, it means our parent our relative like aunt or uncle will have bad thing happen in the future one week. The bad things are like get car accident, something make them go to hospital and so on. However, young people don’t believe it. But when I have this kind of dream, I always tell my parent. Even though I don’t believe it, I just want to let them know I dream about that. Then they will very careful in the future one week. In fact, they have never had bed things happen when I dream that. That’s why I have never believed the meaning in the dream. No matter good dream or bad dream, I like to dream when I sleep; because sometimes I dream something that will never happen in the true life. It is very interesting. Therefore, I hope I dream everyday.

Dreams interpretation

Before I start to write my response I have to tell all of you that I’ve been reading your opinions and I’ve enjoyed them a lot.

In this week we have been talking about the mind which is a topic I enjoy talking about. On Monday and Tuesday we were talking about dreams and I have a particular story that I want to share with you. Remember I told you one month ago in Amy’s class that I tried bungee jumping the last year? Well a few weeks ago, I dreamed I was with some friends in a bridge located in my country and we were planning to do bungee jumping again by our self’s, without instructors which is a crazy stunt. In my dream, when I jumped out of the bridge the rope broke and when I realized that, I woke up. I don’t remember if I died or what exactly happened to me, the only thing I remember is that I was so frightened when I woke up.

The funniest of this story is that on Tuesday, Amy gave us a web page called “The dream Dictionary” (http://predictions.astrology.com/dd/) where you can find a kind of interpretation of a particular dream. You type a word that represents the main idea of your dream and the web page show you an interpretation of your dream. However, just for curious I went to the page and I typed the word “bridge” and this was the result or the interpretation that the web showed me: “Bridges are interesting symbols in relationships. We often speak of "crossing" and "burning" bridges as representations of the opportunities and challenges of life.” Actually I don’t Know what the interpretation of this web are connected with my dream. But I have a question for all of you: Do you believe in dreams interpretations? Do you think that dreams are connected with reality?

The Mind

This week we had studied every enjoyable topic; it was about the mind. Although we read about very interesting topics in last chapters, this chapter was amazing. First we learn about a really mysterious part of our body. Secondly we faced a lot of new words during our reading such as extraordinary, conscience, adequately and exclusive. Also we read about the memory and haw some people have strong memory than others. We learned the best way to have strong memory. Through our reading about the mind we used Avery helpful and important strategy which was underlining and marginal glossing. On this strategy we underline the main points, new words, and important names. Also on this strategy showed us how to write and summarize the mine ideas on the margins to help us to remember them. On the other hand we had learned a lot of new and interesting topic on our writing book about the mind. We learned how to analyze level of generality which was divided to two tips, the first one is top down organization and the other is divided organization. Both were useful, I liked the first one more. Finally we went to the lab were we did some research and tested our mind. The results were really great.

On this week, we took unit 6 which it talks about The Mind. We discuss in the class about the mind and we shared the idea with the classmate. Also, we talk a bout the dream. Everyone in the class talk about their culture. In all culture have suppression. Likewise, in my culture we have suppression which it if you dream bad thing you keep it secret and don’t say it for any person because when you say it , it might happen. Also, if it’s good dream you can say it. But, it’s opposite to Juan culture. In addition, there are many theorizing the dream. For example, if you dream you have rabbits the theorizing for this dream is form each rabbit you will have million dollars. Also, when we were in the lab and we searched about some information. For example, I read about the cabs drivers in London, they can remember the direction with no navigation and London is one of the biggest cities. Also, we did IQ Test to see how we are intelligent. We all do it and we are enjoy do this because we can see how we are intelligent. This is really good time and we enjoy doing like this. This is first time we do it. Also, the topic of this week was really interesting because we know more about other culture and suppressions.

Shocking dream or reality!

This week, we have learned about mind and dreams. Usually, when we fall asleep, we tend to be more unconsciously and knowing nothing. Also, many of people do not remember dreams when they get up on the bad. Sometimes, although we totally awoke up, something is going to happen strange. Let me introduce you. I heard very strange dream (exactly not dream) from someone who works for me at the military when I was a sergeant. One day, in the almost morning at the barrack, everyone was sleeping but him. He wanted to go to the kitchen to drink water, but he couldn’t get up and move. The only movement is his eyes. Suddenly, he realized that a stranger who does not have legs is going to kill him by wring his neck. He tried to resist, but he couldn’t any yell. Then he thought that maybe I am going to die. Unexpectedly, the alarm clock went ring, so everyone get up on the floor. Then he can get up with a cold sweat on whole body. Everyone was surprised from his horrible experience. I wish I don’t want to happen that kind of shocking events.

The world of dreams is really interesting and strange. All people dream, but not all of them tell about their dreams. Among different cultures, there are different beliefs about dreams. In my culture, we deal with dreams according to our religion which is Islam, and there are two possibilities of dreams. The first possibility: if a person had a good dream, he is encouraged to tell other people about it assuming that his dream will happen in the reality. The second possibility: if a person, on the other hand, had a bad dream, he is encouraged not to tell any body about it because it might happen if he did. In fact, I think people always dream about what they think about. For instance, I dreamed that I went to my home in Saudi Arabia many times because I think about that all the time. About my dreams, I don’t remember any special dream, but I remember a strange dream that I heard from a friend who is from Saudi Arabia: he dreamed about a very huge fire ball which was suspended in the middle of the sky, and all people were looking at that ball. I couldn’t figure out what does that mean, but I think it’s strange enough to talk about. Also, I want to hammer a point home that sometimes I do something, and I feel that I saw it before. My theory about this is that I had already dreamed about that thing. Then, when I saw it in the reality, it had already been in my subconscious. In conclusion, dreams are, sometimes, really strange and interesting.

The mind and dreams!! What an exciting topic is!! This is the most interesting topic I have ever read since the beginning of the semester. It shows how we have extraordinary machines that if we used it totally, we would not need to use computers!! We use only 10% of the capacity of our minds which is a little percentage. However, this is not my main point? I want to talk more about dreams, especially, how human-being visualize the reasons of dreams. I read this article about dreams for Kristin Von Kresisler. It says that ancient Greeks believed that dreams are messages from gods. On the other hand, In middle ages, people thought dreams are a signal that the demons visited you!!! Really exciting topic!! Decades ago, experts thought dreams and nightmares are results of problems in breathing and lack of Oxygen in the body. In this era, scientists have had more than one interspersion of dreams’ causes. The first group of whom thinks that dreams happen as a reaction for some minds activities that progress while we sleep, nevertheless, the second group of whom believe dreams are a deep messages from ourselves warn us from something, or want us to do something else. Others think dreams are prediction of our next lives. However, the debate about this topic still has not ended yet. My opinion is dreams might be a result of all of what have been mentioned. Sometimes, I can connect my dream with my future or an event has happened to me, but sometimes I feel it was only something has no sense. Really, Its interesting topic, and as long there is human-being, there will be debate about dreams!!! In the end, I wish you all good dreams. I really enjoyed this chapter, It was about the dreams and their effect.
In our culture, there are some important thing that relate to the dreams. People whom dream about bad thing like the death, accident and problems in general, the avoid telling any body about their dream, because that doing make this bad dream happened, on the other hands if someone had good dream, the people can share this dream with the others. Last year one of my best friend had dreamed about something bad, he told, he saw his mother died in front of his eyes. After this dream by three weeks, I heard his mother died, and what happened in the dream had happened again but in real life, she was taking him to the school, after she dropped him., she made an accident on front of his eyes, and this was the reason for her death, I was sorry for that. And also was hard lesson for my friend and for everyone who had heard about this story.

What’s in a Dream?

I think everybody dreams every day. Of course I dream everyday but I don’t remember my dream after I woke up. According to Freud’s view, dreams were full of hidden meaning and repressed desires. I think dreams are the result of subliminal thoughts and desires. I think dreams are made of many small parts of memory and imagination that get combined to form dream imagery. I experienced the same situation as I am thinking about now. Yesterday as soon as I got home, I did my laundry by my hands. I hung my clothes at a bathroom. I was very tired and I went to sleep earlier than before. I dreamed that In my dream, I saw my clothes that I did laundry yesterday night and the water from a bathtub was flooded. I was very shocked and worried about flooding water in my dream. After I woke up, I went to a bathroom and noticed my clothes. They are hanging on the rack as usual. I think about this week’s topic, Dream, very carefully. I am not sure I have a dream tonight. I want to see my mom and dad in my dream. What’s in my dream, tonight?

This week, we learnt about "mind" and "dream" in Brandy & Amy class. In my opinion, This topic is very interesting because it brings up a variety of issues and questions.
One thing is certain that my classmates and my teachers, of course, don't believe that the dream will become real.
On the contrary, most people believe the dream because of their traditional culture, superstitition and their ancestors. For instance, in my country, if a member of the family had a nightmare, the following day they would sacrifice a cow. Another example to share with you of superstition about dreams is whether you plan to take a plane, the night before you have a nightmare where the plane crashes, you should cancel your trip. That superstitution still exist in my country even today.
Finally, according to Laureat'wisdom, the sleep-walking ,as it name suggest , when you are doing things or activities when you are awake but in fact, you are asleep.
1- has it ever happen to you?
2- when you wake up from a good dream, are you upset because your dream wasn't real or are you excited because you had a good dream?
3- one question came up for me is whether there is a universal dream that all men have and difference dream that all women have.
For example, while the men dream about sports, the women dream about beauty and aesthetics.

I really enjoyed this chapter about the mind this week. It is very interesting, and always they are new thing to learn about. The mind is a subject that always had been researcher, and always researcher discover new things. One of the most imported thing that researcher had discovered is that we use just 10% of our mind and it is not only the memories. Can you imagine if we use more then that? The following question is; if we have the possibility to use more then 10% how can we us more then the normal? As one researcher said that people who are left handed are more intelligent then people who are right handed. The reason of that is because we have two part in the mind; the right and the left. In the right part there are different capacity then the left part, and when people use their left hand they automatically make also the left part of the mind work harder, and they gain both. The right side of the mind, any way, they have like every one. I really want to try working and writing with my left hand, who know maybe i will be more intelligent?...

Aesthetics.......

I think that apperance is so important to live a society. In my culture, image is so important. So many korean people spend a lot of money and time to look nice. there are so many reasons to make appreance. To get a job, to get a girl friend and to make a friend, people dress themselves up. I agree that exercising, cutting hair and skin caring is a good way to look nice. But, plastic surgery is so bad way. Although, many people knew that the plastic surgery was so bad to their body, they want to do plastic surgery. Because the plastic surgery very easy way. Frankly speaking, in my country, so many people have been exprienced doing plastic surgery. Even men have exprience's with plastic surgery. I really hate that. It's so dangerous. And our face and body are presents that our parents give. Anyway, the beauty is getting important to us. as you make yourself up though good way, it's a very good to you. If we struggle in life we do not place emphasis on aesthetics.

“Super Models should be allowed to be as thin as they want?”

Last week in Amy’s class, we were talking about one topic that completely caught my eye: “Super Models should be allowed to be as thin as they want?” I think that the debate we had in class was very interesting because there were very good points of view to be for and against. My particular opinion is that in these days many young people try to imitate the style of life of the supermodels, not only wearing the same clothes, also getting special diet to be as thin as the supermodels. Many of them don’t care about their self health and they start to stop eating well, doing a lot of sports and anything they could, only to be thinner. Like a consequence of that many girls develop two eating disorders which are very dangerous and unhealthy for them: Anorexia and Bulimia. One friend of mine had bulimia a couple of years ago and that was horrible not only for her, also for all her family. It took her more than 1 year to recover for it physically and emotionally.

I know that anybody have their own rights. Some people might say “It’s my body, and I could do anything with it because is my life” and it’s true. But I think there are some people who have to know they are models of life for many others. Maybe, many people have the money to take care of their self with the help of a doctor or a nutritionist, but there are many people too, who don’t have the money and they put in risk their life trying to imitate supermodels life.

It is a very controversial topic and I’m looking forward hearing your opinions.

"BETTER BIRDS ARE THE WORST SINGER"

First, I apologize to choose another topic because my classmates talked a lot about tattoos, I don't want to re-tattoo again my topic.

Second, this week, we learnt about Beauty and Aesthetics. So, I take advantage to repeat the question in classroom : What makes people look attractive? How important to you is apparence?

Some people are interested in beauty, some are interested in body. Everyone has a lot of comments about apparence such as face,clothes, tattoos,hair, body, tall, short, young,mature. There are all stereotypes of beauty.

In my opinion, beauty is useful but not important. there is a proverb : better birds are the worst singer. By and large, I noticed that pretty women and handsome men made a lot of mistakes if I compare with ugly men or ugly women.
To be honest with you, good attitude or nice behaviour is very crucial for me.
For example, due of my beauty and my clothes, my boss was impressed, was eager to hire me in his company. After , I stole the money in this company, I am not sociable with my teamworker. What conclusion would you explain if you were my boss? Because I'm handsome and I wore nice clothes , you cannot fire me???. my clothes are very important because they are expensive.???

Another opinion, beauty is also not important for me because you need it for a short time of period, not permanent. let me explain:
For example, there is a nice car TOYOTA, very nice. whether you don't have it, you push yourself to buy it or to have it. By the time you have it, you need another car BMW. You noticed that TOYOTA became old and you need to buy another one, nice one BMW. so, it is vice-circle. In addition, you know, of course, that human beings had never been satisfied.

In conclusion, whatever his or her apparence with tattoo or without tattoos, ugly or handsome, nice attitude is tremendously important for our community or society.

Tattoos

After reading beauty and aesthetics this week, I thought about appearance especially wearing tattoos. It is very interesting that meaning of tattoo which comes from the Tahitian word "tatau". "ta" means hand , and "ta" is repeated and "u" represents "color" With the origin of word I can realize tatto is related with a part of body with color. To put it bluntly, I am very afraid of wearing tattos. Recently, tattoos have been more popular than before. Young guys are prone to wear tattoos to show their brave and strength, carving strong and animals such as dragons and eagles. On the other hand, some young women tend to wear "henna" ( a sort of tattoo) to reprent their beauty especially in summer season in Korea. I think wearing tattoos could be personal taste and a symbol of beauty.

Beauty and Aesthetics

This week we had a lot of desiccation about Aesthetics and Beauty. It was really an interesting topic and we enjoyed it a lot. I learned so many things about the beauty in this world such as the most beautiful building in the world like the great castle of Taj Mahal, Alhambra palace, and Himeiji castle. We compared between them and learned lots of words from this comp ration. Because Brandi has visited Taj Mahal we had the opportunity to have extra information about it. She showed us some photos of Taj Mahal and explained about it history. I also learned a lot of reading strategy through reading about those castles, as getting the meaning from structure contacts, illustrating ideas and previewing a reading to identify the key people. On the other hand I learned lots of things about academic assays on the writing book. The tattoos were hard subject to write about, but with the research that we did before writing the assay it became easy. We also discussed about how important is our appearance to us and some of us thought that it is very important, while other thought it’s normal. Finally I learned that Aesthetics is the philosophy of the beauty. I think that our book is a really interesting book because it has lots of great topics and every chapter surprised you with the verity and the amount of information that it has. Thank you Brandi and Amy for choosing those wonderful books

Aesthetics and Beauty

On this week we study about the Aesthetics and Beauty. It’s really interesting topic. Under this topic we discuss a lot of things with student and we know a lot a bout different culture know. One of these topics is tattoos. Tattoos are marked which people do it to be different from other people. Tattoos are familiar in some country, and in other country tattoos are kind of bad things like wise in Japan the people who put a tattoos are gangsters. In my country, nobody put the tattoos but there is something it maybe it’s similar to tattoos but it disappear after few days it’s called Al-Henna, it’s just for lady not for a man. I think tattoos have many disadvantage. First, when you make the tattoos you can’t disappear. Second, it makes a lot of diseases like cancer. Also, when you have tattoo and you come old, the tattoo looks like blurring. In addition, what I think Al-Henna better than tattoos because it has benefit for person, it doesn’t make dieses. Also, tattoos are burn yourself but the al-henna just draws what you want. On the other hand, I think it has an advantage which is covering the scar. Finally, when I get a chance to do tattoo I will not do it because I like my normal body with out any thing drew on it.

Beauty and Aesthetics

There are many people think appearance is very important and I think it is true. Our appearance makes us have more chances. For instance, when we have an interview for a job, we have to wear very neatly to enhance our appearance. Therefore, we not only give interviewer have a good impression but also get more chance to talk to interviewer. In my case, I very care about my appearance because I want to give people who see me have a good impression. I do not make up but I try to make my heir and wearing neatly and cleanly. This week we also discuss about tattoo, and I have some opinion about it. Actually, I do not like tattoo; it make me scare when I see someone have tattoo. In Taiwan, if people have tattoo, we will think he is a gangster or bad person. According to my observation, 80% gangsters have tattoo. I do not know if it is a true or not. It’s just my observation and opinion. Now, the social concept is gradually changing because there are many people have tattoo for beauty and fashion. I think I should try to change my mind and try to accept people who have tattoo.

Tattoos are considered as bad things in my culture. Although I know many motivations why people get tattoos, I still don’t accept them. I think tattoos do not make people look attractive. I know that some people get tattoos as a symbol of their tribe, and others get tattoos because of their interests about the body’s art. I think that people who get tattoos to enhance their bodies’ beauty are not quit happy with their appearance. I feel that it’s disgusting to have tattoos on your body. When I hear that tattoos are known as a self expression, I think that people are able to express themselves in other ways which would be better than having tattoos. In fact, there are other different ways to enhance body’s beauty such as having cosmetic surgery and wearing attractive clothes. While I believe that wearing attractive clothes to enhance the beauty of a body is more attractive than having tattoos, I still respect opinions and motives of people who have already gotten tattoos. Also, I believe that beauty and looking attractive is important thing in my daily life. Wearing attractive clothes gives people an idea that you care about your appearance; on the other hand, getting tattoos might gives people bad ideas that a person who have them on his/her body might be a bad person, and that is because it’s common that members of gangs usually get tattoos to show their membership in such gangs. Not to beat around the bush, I hate tattoos, and I would never think about having one.

Tattoo-so scared

In my culture, a number of people, especially tattoo, often thought that people who have tattooed must be the mafia. Because doing a tattoo is not common event in Korea, it is hard to find a tattoo. Also, whenever I watched the mafia from the news which appears in court for crime, almost of the mafia have tattooed on theirs back. That’s why Korean is easily frightened to people who have tattooed. 3 years ago, accidentally, I met elementary schoolmate in the downtown. I was so happy to meet him, so after we went to the bar, we go to a public bath. I was surprised to him when he took off his clothes. He has tattooed a lot of dragons and flowers on his whole body. After I saw that, suddenly I corrected my attitude more polite, and gave him soda and many snacks. He said that I belong to the mafia. According to his speech, almost of his group have tattooed on whole body. The point is, I am still afraid to people who have tattoo in Korea. That's a shocking experience. I'll never forget what I saw.

The history of tattoo began over 5000 years ago by accident!There was someone who had small wound, and rubbed it with a hand that was dirty with soot and ashes from fire. Once the wound had healed, they saw that a mark a stayed permanently. There are a lot of ensure story, but the real story that had approved is this story. Tattoo is very popular in the world and especially here in USA. People are doing tattoo for many reasons. First reason, people has tattoo to remind them by something that happened to them, for example the prisoner and the people in the war, and in some culture in the past they used it to show they from which tribe they belong. Second a lot of people whom likes and loves are considering tattoo from body art and this specific reason for them to do have tattoo, and relate tattoo to the fashion. finally I my opinion if I will chance to have a tattoo I will never accept that because I think it's crazy thing to colored your body, and keep on your body for the rest of your life.

Beauty and aesthetic is a very big title to talk about. The vision of beauty and aesthetic is different from a culture to another. In many culture, having a tattoo is a big deal. In Japan and the U.S., it’s a sign of gangsters. In my culture, having a tattoo is a sign of being bad. Actually, I like to see wrestlers wearing tattoos. Its really look nice on their body, they really show that the wrestlers are strong and tough. On the other hand, I feel disgusting when I see them ahead of me. I have no clear opinion about them. To put it bluntly, I would not like to have one. The wearer would find it nice today, and he would hate their appearance tomorrow. Because of that I’d like to have the same appearance that I was born in. I wonder why people wear tattoos?? Is it because they believe in them?? Or there is subliminal reason for wearing them? I really would like to talk to a tattoos wearer and gain some knowledge about their motives?? Setting with someone and asking him or her about their motives is better or more helpful to understand him or her. There may be some really motives that might convince me to wear one! Why not!! I’d like to do so if I found a logical reason. However and up until now, I still have my reasons not to wear tattoos.

Tattoos was started 2000 years ago and one of the first group was Polynesia's Societies across the pacific ocean. tattoos was mad by mix liquid: sugar, candienut oil, coconut mikwater and other plant liquid. The liquid was inject by a thin shark and the pain was extrme. usually tattoos was the same design from father to son and that show there relationships between them. tattoos was very imported that they mad a big ceremony for children how get tattoos. women also did tattoos but after there were married. usually women were aloud to do it on there hand or on there lag and it called Lima. to mad a tattoos was very difficult and took a year to complete the design. people used to spend a lot of money to make it more beautiful and attractive. Tody people are doing tattoos for beauty and to be attractive and different. There is 16% adult in the u.s.a that they have at least one tattoo. women use to do tattoos on there lower back and on there nails. men use to do tattoos on there shoulder or on there face. as a conclusion beauty and the way people look is very imported and people accept to spend a lot of money and to support the pain.

Male and female both of them are human. Everyone have their responsibility. Also both of them have their characteristics. Male and female both have his/her responsibility to do it.
In my culture, male has more responsibility more than women. He can protect the female which it his wife, his mother, his sister and his daughter. He has emotion but he is disappeared it because he didn’t want to show he is a weak. Male work to bring money and to take care for his children and his wife.

I addition, female is very weak. She just takes care for his husband. Some of female don’t work just work in her house to take care for his children. Female is very emotional, in my country the women can’t be the judge because she is very emotional maybe she will be at wrong and the people can be the victim. She must obey his husband.

In conclusion, in my country, male and female are equilibrium. Both of them has/ her job. But female must obey the male rules to be saving because he takes care of her.

Some thoughts of Omar Sabir

I like this topic because it’s related to our daily life. It explains some behavior that we don’t pay attention for. Every person has relationships with males and females, and that’s why this topic is important. For example, a student has relationships in his school with his friends (males or females). A wife has relationships with her husband and her relatives. I notice many things we studied when I chat with some friends from my country. When females talk, they always use tag questions, and they always share their privacy lives with their close friends. On the other hand, males don’t talk as much as females. Also, males hang out with their friends to get away from it all. When I talk about this point, I remember my self in Saudi Arabia. When I have any problem, I hang out with my friends, and that help me solving my problems. In contrast, females like to talk about their problems with their friend on the phone, and this is noticeable in my country. Because of the different ways in communicating, misunderstanding happens a lot in relationship between males and females. In many cases of misunderstanding, a problem lasts for a long time because both (male and female) think that they didn’t make something wrong, so they don’t apology. In a relationship with someone whom you love, I think it’s necessary to expect that you might have some result that you don’t like. At the end, I believe that in this the life. There is no perfect situation.

As i heard about other culture's relationship, i really suprised. Specially, i knew all of the people has a same thinking about relationship of men and women. I thought that other culture's people had a different problem about love. and i thought that they had a different role. but, my thinking was wrong. men don't want to talk about their private life. And do not care about other people's feeling. In my culture, men have to be a real men. If you revealed behavior like women, you are blamed by other people. Likewise women should be a more women being. Most of korean guys like "girly girl". In case of the women little different, long time ago women like a tough guy , nowadays, however women like more sensitive men. that is a sad news. because i am not a sensitive man.

At the last time in Korea include history, There was a lot of unfair things between male and female in Korean society. That was common thought that women don't need high quality education. For example my mother couldn't sing a song in her house when she was high school students. And my mother couldn't get a high quality education which are kind of college or university. Because, financial funds were using for their son's education and future. Anyway almost female who is mother in Korea were felt unfair in their childhood. But there is many changing in Korea. There is a government of women’s rights in there. It makes that solve a lot of unfair problems. But it rises up another problem in solving unfair problem in Korean society. A government of women’s right is solving the problem without result. Of course, they solve the problems about unfair between sexes and about prostitute. But they solve the problem not to fair between male and female, they solve problem to not fair against male. For example, male in Korea has duty of military for 2 year. They could get a extra points in government exam which is to be national officer. A government of women stopped this law, because they thought that is not fair in employment policy. All of male feel upset. Because, The extra point is a rightful. It’s compensation of duty. Anyway government of women are doing such as a idiot thing in now.

There are many kinds of relationships for everyone like relationship with family, relationship with friends and relationship with your lover. Therefore, Relationship is very important for people. The hardest relationship is a relationship between woman and man. History culture in Chinese, the only one thing msn had to do is go to work. The woman had to take care a lot of things like housework, child, and only could stay at home. Woman also had to listen to her husband in everything and she could not have any reject. At that time, there were many men and wives really did not have a good relationship. Fortunately, now the society concept is better than before. Many Men like to do housework and share wife’s toil but some men’s concept still maintain as before. Just depend on person. In my opinion, the relationship between woman and man is very hard because there are many man and wife divorce. Why they divorce? I think either affair or they don’t have a good relationship like they don’t love each other anymore or always argue even just a tiny thing. Maybe when we find real love then it will be easy.

In my country it’s different

In my country the relation ship between the two gander men and women are different from U.S. the relation ship before engaged is different, the wedding is different and the live after marred is different .

In my country the relation ship between men and women before engagement are totally different from here, for example here the girl start dating boys when she almost 16 years old or maybe less, but in my country it not allowed for you to date a girl before you get engaged. of course you can take to here and meet her but her family must be aware of what happing between you and here. for example you can meet here at her father house and they will let you to talk alone but they will be watching you from far distance ,or you can go with her family out to dinner or some where else where you can talk to here while her family aware about you two. Usually in my country relation ship begin from working together or from school or even college. Also it’s common that the girls and boys let their family know when they are seen some one, spatially girls must do that. The community there believe that on this way they will protect the society from the problem that the other society suffering from such as children with unknown fathers and girls who get pregnant early so she doesn’t complete here studies because of the heavy responsibility that they will have to curry.


In my country also the wedding are so different from here. In my country men take almost all the responsipelity of the mirages steps but women play a very small role. For example in my country the men have to give a gift to the women before mirage (amount of money usually between 20 two 30 thousand doers). He also will have to take care of every thing from the party and the ring of engagement until the wedding. In addition it’s common that the man gives the bride a voluble gift on the first morning for here mirage. So I thing that women in my country are so lucky.

It was nice chapter about gender and relationships, we had useful desiccation about the theme of this chapter, we learn a lot thing about the way of men and women life in the USA and the treatment between each other for Brandi also from the movie that we saw it yesterday, also I learned new thing that were unknown for me about some cultures. In general me and my class mate gat excited about this chapter we learn a lot and we talked a lot to be honest because the theme of this chapter are need more talking and desiccation. And I don't forget some disagreement that were between girls and boys about things that related to this chapter, the girls were so excited as us but some time they gat excited more than us, but finally as usual our thoughts were better and we and persuaded the others easily.
Finally I would thank my classmate for their working hard this week and hope them spend nice cold weekend.

The differences of expression; Men and Women

Today we discussed Gender Differences in Communication in class. I am usually interested with communication method in terms of men and women. In general women are capable of more speaking skills than men. Probably women like to talk with somebody. It is interesting that women use tags and question, whereas men make more declarative statements than women.
In real situation it's true I think. When I chat with my friend by messenger, I often ask him such as what are you doing now? what are going to do ? something like that. After studying today's lesson, it's a big difference between men and women in communication. I read the book " Men are from Mars and Women are from Venus by John Gray a long time ago. It was a little impressed and amazed by the book. I could know the differences between men and women. It was unusual that men solve the problems by themselves when they are in trouble. For instnace, men go to a burrow and then speak thier troubles by themselves not to share with other people. However, women have a hard time solving problems, they talk with their family and friends. Women would like to solve the problems with others' help. Next time I want to have an opportunity to survey and do the experiment about the gender difference in communication.

What we studied today was a very wonderful lesson. I thought at first it’s only that kind of lessons to fill the book for students with topics most of it does not have any kind of reality. In fact, I found something happening while we were studying. That thing is when we were in our group discussing the questions, we had a small argument about the answer among Jenifer and I. she was trying to cooperate with me to find the correct answer; however, I felt when I said something and she did not accept my answer, at that moment, I felt kind of competitive. This really happened before we got to the next question which was a bout some experiences from you life about it. When I read the second question I believed that there are many differences between men and women when they talk or discuss something. This might seem strange or rude from men when they do something like that, but for reality, it’s our nature that we are used to using when we treat each other, otherwise we will not be real men. This is one of the funniest stories in my life because I had learnt something, and experience it the next minutes without meaning doing that. Also, we might disturb or tease each other when we speak, but as I said it’s not intentionally because it’s something we are used to.

Gender Differences: Innate or Learned?

I tend to agree with Juan--that there aren't any real differences between males and females. I've observed male/female relationships in different cultures, and I think that where strong differences do exist, this is do to learned social behavior, which is strongly influenced by political, religious, and cultural norms.

In societies where women have the freedom to make other choices rather than merely getting married and having children, we see that they enter into politics, science, a variety of professions. And many of them make the decision to live independently, or to delay marrying and having children until they are older.

Also, in societies where the men have freedom to make other choices, we see them choosing roles that are traditionally limited to women, such as staying home to raise families, becoming nurses or other fields traditionally dominated by women. I know a number of couples who decided together that the woman would work because she makes more money, and the man would stay home to raise the children, because he wanted to spend more time with the children. Both people in the relation are happy because they are free to choose to do what they love.

No differences between men and women

I have to say before I start writing that I have talked about this topic many times with my friends and also with my family. I’m strong defender about the human rights and I think there are no differences between anybody. I think there are no differences between people from different religions, culture, color and also between male and female. Everybody of us has the same rights and we have one thing in common: we are humans. I heard that in many societies woman are not supposed to have higher jobs in a company or in politics. I’m totally disagreeing with that, but I respect their opinions. Anyway, I want to share with you, maybe some of you have heard this before, that in South America we are living a time where women have reached a very high position in society and the roles that they are playing are the same and in many cases, better than the roles which are playing by men. One example of that is that in Chile a woman -Michelle Bachelet- had been elected as the president of the country the last year and she has been doing very well. In my country, another woman was very close to be the president; she loosed the elections for less than 3%. In many companies higher positions are occupied for women because they have shown that they can do the work better than a man.

On the other hand, is very common to hear that women are supposed to be the people who have to take care about children and home. They are supposed to spend more time with children and I’m not agreeing with that. I want to be a father in the future and I’ll make anything as possible to spend a lot of time with my children playing, talking and laughing with them.

Finally, I’ll try to bring all of you, my opinion about the question of our friend Laureat. Is there any difference between Love and Real Love? Well, I’m totally agreed with you Laureat. I don’t know any difference between love and real love. I love my mom, I love my brothers and I love my friends. And what is love? It’s something real. Maybe you can love someone more than other one, and also you can love in different ways, for example the love that you can have for your mother maybe is different than the love you can have for your girlfriend, that’s true, but in both cases love is love, and both are real.

GENDER AND RELATIONSHIPS= male + female

By and large, human beings express different ways to communicate, to think, to choose someone or something in the world. Each decade, everything changes. That's why the older person say: "taste and color , don't discuss" or love is blind. This two sayings allow me to discuss about love and real love between male and female in our country that we discussed in class this week. Because of time, I take advantage right now to explain a little more.
In my country, female is not supposed to choose her boyfriend or her suitor. It's up to the male to choose and say his love to the female. Furthermore, the people consider rude to a female who begins to express his love to the man.
Consequently, Malagasy female are shy to communicate because of this stereotype. Even if they should express their love, they try indirectly to show them step by step.



Before saying good bye to you my friends, I want to explain a little bit about our definition " love and real love, last week".
In my opinion, love and real love is the same definition.
1- How could you share some love on your partner,or relatives if it is not real.? it may be called " TRICK LOVE OR HALF LOVE or WHAT ??
2- If someone says to his boyfriend or girlfriend " I LOVE YOU, I'd like to ask your opinion at this time, for you, REAL LOVE OR HALF LOVE OR WHAT???

In the modern world meal use to compare there slave to men and they try hard to get all there equality. now, women really succeed and we can see they are in good jobs, they are in the political lives, they can do almost every thing that men do. In my culture is almost the same, but the different is that a women know to be also a mother, to take care of her children, her husband, her House. I thing that women can do both,and that is the way that she can fill she is a women like her nature. I thing women in modern society loss allot of their feminine even if they gain others good things,like equality in many ways. I want to say an important point. way should women always compare her self to men? Every one know that men for example have Moor physical power, are we already saw a woman how work in a moving company? I meed god give every one his nature,way should people Brok those law? isn't ridicules if men stay home to take care of the children ,to cook and to clean regularly? isn't a beauty for women to get birth for example and to live with her husband and to fill his protection of her? I personally, like to ask advies from my husband I like when he tell me what to wear for special occasion, or when he come with me to buy cloths. I know what I'm saying not every one will agree with, but i respect any other opinion, and i hope no one will be angry of what i say.

A lot of people are trying to do dangerous thing for many reasons. One of them is for having fun and to do something new.I have already done something dangerous, i tryed to do water ski. water ski is not relly dangerous, but if you dont know how yo do it, it could be very dangerous especially if you do it withe any halp. When me and my husband went in Florida fore vication, we rent a jess ski for doing water ski. I have never been on skis and i didnt know how to do it, but i wantedto have fun as many other people there. The first time i pout the ski and my husband started to pull me, i almost drown and my foot got cught in the rope,and i started bleeding-it was terrible. When i arrived in the hospital and they pout me a lot of Alcohol on my foot, i thought i was going to die. during the vication i couldn't move,it was to bad for us. If i thouht i will nevere do it again, i guickly realized that was a roung thouht. When we went this summer in Turky,i tryed to do water ski again, and i even succeed without falling and be hart. the most importent thing was that i took leesons withe a professional toter. I felt so good to succeed something new and do being able to do something alital bit dangerous.

Danger and Daring

Some people like extreme sport but I don’t like it except bungee jumping. I have seen somebody play it many time but I have never tried it. If I have chance, I really want to try it. Maybe it will be very funny. Yet, I will not try other extreme sports like skydiving or free diving. Those are too dangerous for me. I am a scaredy cat. If I have chance, I will not climb Mt. Everest. Even you give me a lot of moneys I still will not do that. There are two main reasons for it. First reason is too expansive and second reason is too dangerous. There will have many accidents happen when we climb the Mt. Everest. In my opinion, the people who climb Mt. Everest are very crazy and rich. I don’t want to waste my money just for fun. Life is precious for me and I love my life. I don’t want be die due to I doing extreme sport. I prefer to do other things instead it like shopping, travel, or listen to the music. I would like to keep my life safety and enjoy it. Therefore, extreme sport will never attract me.

It such a great experience to climb Mt. Everest if I have the chance. It will great chance for me to have an experience and to do something crazy that l have ever think about it. So if I have the chance to climb Mt. Everest, I would never think about the answer, because my answer would be absolutely yes!!
I know I will face a lot if obstacles, for example, the less of food and water, in addition expose ourselves to the dangerous animal, also less oxygen and that will case some damage for some people for example case the headache and dizziness, those some obstacles that we listen a lot about it from the people that have this experience before. Also there are a lot of advantages for this experience, it will let me have new experience and this very important thing for me, also let me as depend on our own, and in the other side I found some people climb Mt. Everest or practice dangerous sports just to be famous person and sees their selves on TV one day or on the cover of some magazine, but as I mention before, I am looking for this experience to see the known places that I am sees every day in the TV or by reading in the magazines.

Danger and Daring

In the second week of MEI classes, we took Danger and Daring. It’s about extreme sports. Many people think when they are in the safe way they will die. They want to try dangers sports. They like adventure the most people who like doing these sports are teenage, because they think they are a hero and strong people. Also, they want to do anything nobody does it before. In the reading and writing class, we took a bout person who climbs Mt Everest and how it is dangers and how it is interesting. They interesting because they do a dangers things and they can get to the top of mountain. On the other hand, they face a lot of dangers because in the Mt Everest oxygen comes low than usual, they lack of food .also, the weather is freezing.
In addition, I am a teenager, I like to do like that sport. In 1998, I had been going to Australia and I jumped from parachute. Last month, I went to Lebanon and I went to the mountain to skiing and I went to the top of the mountain. First thing, I fell down but I contains to the bottom of the mountain but I can’t stop I tried my best, and then I hit a man who he stopped in my face. After that, I fell down again then I stopped.

MOUNTAIN FUDJI - MY REAL DREAM ON FEBRUARY 2007

Everyone is interested in sports. Many of famous sports activities require us to spend money, to be brave, to motivate, to be thrill-seeker, to have fun, to win the prize, to challenge with teammates and to undergo experiences. One famous sport that I have never practiced yet but I would like to try is the climbing Montain like Mountain Fujdi in Japan. However, Some people say that climbing Mountain is dangerous because of lack of foods, because of lack of oxygen, because of equipement non adequate and also it is unsafe.
In my opinion, climbing mountain is exhilerating, it makes me being famous in the world especially in Madagascar and it takes me up one of the collectifs sports.
First point I would like to make is that the climbing Mountain is exhilerating to me. Imagine if I arrive on the summit of mountain and then I can take picture of myself, the landscape, the glacier. Believe me that It would be wonderful in my life.
Second, I have a dream to be famous like Stacy Allison, the first woman who climbed Mountain Everest in 1988 or Edmund Hillary, the first man who climbed also mountain Everest. Then, I am thinking by asking a question for myself WHY NOT LAUREAT? the first man from Madagascar, the first student from MEI, the first man from university of maryland, and the first daredevil from students of teacher BRANDY. I definitely believe that I could achieve my goal.
Finally, there is a proverb that two heads are better than one. Climbing Mountain Fudgi with my teammates gives me a lot of energies to pull off my sport because there is a teamworking. Everyone recognizes, of course, that climbing mountain is not a piece of cake. It requires a lot of motivations, a lot of equipments. This stunt sport needs us to share our experiences and our forces.

In summary, All sports are interesting and we have our own reasons to practice them. However. climbing mountain is one the hullabaloo sports. Therefore, I recommend this sports for my classmates from Quatar, Korea,Vietnam,Saudi Arabia and why not my teacher Brandy to take it up????ha!ha!ha!

Darning and Dangerous

This week we had I really interesting subject to discus about. It was about darning and dangerous. In my opinion I think that this subject is so suitable to our class because we have a vary adventures teacher, Miss Brandi. Not every one can clime a mountain, you need to be brave, so galangal and it cost also lots of many.

To clime Mount Everest you must be really brave because going to Everest is just like going to mouth of death .the weather there is frizzing, also if you claimed there for sure you will face lack of food. in addition up there its will be so hared to breath and as result your mind will not function .the storming there is another issue the climber defiantly will face up there.

Some people clime Mount Everest to galling them self some of them clime to be famous but the strange thing is haw people go there to galling them self. Some people think that claming Everest will give them more confident and will change their live to the batter .the first women who want to Mount Everest from our class was our teacher Brandi.


Going to clime amount Everest is a very beautiful dream to lots of people but I think if they would know how much it’s cost maybe they will stop dreaming about. Claiming Mount Everest cost 6500, 00 dollars,”that is a lot of many “. Also it takes lots of time.

danger has both good and bad!!

I know that danger has both good and bad sides! For example, sky diving is a dangerous sport however It is very exciting. We have a very exotic exprience through sky diving, but it has many dangerous factors. The dangerous factors are death and permanent disability. Personally, I like danger! Maybe I will avoid the things which have too many dangerous factors, but I will enjoy the suitable danger. Danger gives me an active life. If I avoid all danger, I will live a boring life.
In my country many extreme sports are forbidden by the government. But if it is possible I really want to race cars. I like speeding when I drive on the highway. I always feel a strange urge to pass other cars. I know that speeding is dangerous, however in germany it's legal to drive a car fast. Before I die, I really want to go on the autobahn in germany. I will rent a ferrari and drive crazy!!!!!!!

Dangres? Crazy stuff , love it !!

Hi guys this is Eman ;) I think really its interesting topic. Its maybe some thing strange, how it comes we love the life and like to live it fulfill , don’t want any illness or any kind of causes of death to touch us because we want to live for more and more years and maybe for ever !! (No one will do!) But in the same moment many people seek the adventures and dangers activates such as x- sports, climbing the mountains, diving thousand of miles under the sea, bungee jumping, and many others every one as his or her interest. However, what motivated them to do it and ignoring all kind of death penalty is different for person to another. Some looking to make a big hullabaloo, others seeking the business deals and money, some just don’t like routine life and like to take up new hippies every single whiles of the time. for me I consider my self as an adventure seeker but not as professional does , I enjoy do some crazy stuff such as car racing, sea diving , jets key, rollcoster, those are what I could had since I got the chance to do some of it. Even I’m a mother for two Childs but I still have a very little kid inside me , In my thought , behave , and many other stuff I feel it very strongly maybe because I didn’t have my child hood , I don’t know !! . well this is not the point , the point is that I really enjoy doing crazy stuff and what make me always scared the fat is nothing scare me !! Crazy yeah ;). one of my adventures which I remember that one night I went to swim I the sea and was late around 7 pm !! and was pretty dark no body there only my family in the beach cost, they want to go home but I was enjoying my swimming, so my brother turn on the car light and faced it to me, when I looked around me with the light I shocked that hundred of Jelly fishes surrounded me and I spent one week itchingL. It wasn’t that bad but hurt little bad, beside wasn’t really dangers as much as it funny. Well I have many of these stories I don’t want to remember then I’ll have home sick which is really BAD !! Hope to hear form every body about their adventures; I know I’ll laugh a lot! Take care DON’T BE CRAZY

Daring and Danger!!!! by Omar Sabit

It is really a great topic. I am not a thrill seeker, but I might do some stunts with my friends. I’ll talk about the most dangerous experience in my life. Few years ago, I went with my friends to the southern region of Saudi Arabia which is located on a mountain chain. We were visiting a valley when we had been told that there is available rock climbing in the same area. I had just few minutes to decide if I want to do it with my friends or not. It was my first time to such an experience. I decided to climb with them. It was amazing experience, and I would like to do it again, but in the case of Mt.Everest, I’m not going to do it. It was extremely a dangerous experience but it took only few hours. I was happy for attending such a challenging. Although I’ve heard that some people think jet skiing is a dangerous sport, I enjoy jet skiing. It’s one of my favorite sports, and I don’t count it as a dangerous sport. Also, I enjoy care racing, and I like to speed while driving. In fact, I used to have sport car. I participated in some car racing competitions and I really enjoyed it. In the case of Mt.Everest, a climber might stay alive, and he might doesn’t, and that is the main reason for me to say that I would never try to climb Mt.Everest. If any one thinks that I’m a thrill seeker, please tell me!!!!!

Challenge and Confidence

When it comes to challege to a dangerous thing, most people are very afraid of it at first. I also am afraid of thrill seeking activities such as rock climbing, bunjee jumping and skydiving and so on. However, I try to challege thrill activities and want to have a confidence to achieve my goal.
These are two things which I'd like to challenge bunjee jumping and skydiving.
When I read a real story about an eldery woman who was at the age 0f 70 or 80, she challenged a new risky activity, skydiving. After she did skydiving, her life was filled with energetic and vivid life. Even though she was very old, she tried to a risky activity. I was really embarrassed about it. In case of bunjee jumping, most young people prefer to a risky and excited activity. Of course, it could be a dangerous activity. Some day, I would do bumjee jumping and feel enormously exciited.
The purpose to study here in USA is another challenge for me. I think Challenge and Confidence are very essential to live my frutiful life. Enjoy and challenge a risky activities !!

The theme for this week is an extremely exciting topic. Daring and danger one of my favorite topics, and I wish I would experience and live something like that in the near future. The reading passage that we read was very thrilling where you can feel and live one of high-dangerous-experience. Actually, while I was reading the passage, I felt as if I were in the adventure itself participating in it. I liked the author’s expression because they appropriated the situation they had lived. I was wondering why climbers heeded the hints of the storm, and why they did not descent with him when he went down, but I think it is one of the lessons that we should learn from the previous people which is not to do something that our emotion encourage us to do but to do what our minds motivate us to go on doing it. Also, the experience involved many lessons which every climber and even every adventurer has to take in their minds. In my opinion, I think governments should have more strict rules mandate people to have some high ability if they want to climb such harsh mountains or mounts like Everest. One of these rules is to require a high level of strong physical body ability. In addition, we can save both too old people and not enough young by requiring some special mental and physical capacities these some thoughts through my vision which I think it’s important to keep as less number as accident as possible.

I love extreme sports...

I’m an adventurous person and I love to challenge myself too. I have done many crazy things in my 22 years of life but I think that if I have the chance to climb Mount Everest I wouldn’t do it because I know many stories of people who die in the attempt. Anyway, there are many extreme sports that I want to do someday but definitely climbing Mount Everest is not in my plans.

In my country there are many cities where people practice extreme sports. I love rafting and I’ve practiced rafting for 3 years. One time I tried bungee jumping, it was a very fun experience but I’ll never try to do it again. I think is fun only for one time!. I went to Cuzco, a city of Peru with some friends the last summer and this city is very famous not only for the Inca’s culture, it is also famous for the extreme sports you can do there. My friends are a little crazy, they love rafting and bungee jumping and that’s why I had to do once. They pulled of me!... Whatever, it was fun..

I agree with Brandy in one important thing. Tourists in general have done much damage to the environment in many beautiful places. For example, in Cuzco, a place which I recommend all of you to visit if you have the opportunity, is very sad to find trash in the whole city. Some tourists when they go camping, climbing or just visiting used to leave trash everywhere. I don’t know why. Maybe they don’t care about it… What can we do?. I think everyone of us have to work and think about it!!.. what do you think??
